Technically speaking, what is GoPart? Hide
Technically speaking, what is GoPart?
GoPart is a small application (.exe) that contains an Internet Explorer browser control. The executable's purpose is to interface with desktop applications, 'recognize' the text that is being highlighted, and pass it to the small web page that displays inside the container. Put simply, the product behaves like a browser you already have running. The only reason an application needs to be installed is so the part number is highlighted on the desktop can be captured.

What does 'beta' mean for SupplyFrame GoPart? Hide
What does 'beta' mean for SupplyFrame GoPart?
When a software application is developed, it goes through a series of stages before being released to the general public. Extensive testing is done internally to "de-bug" the product as much as possible (referred to as the alpha phase), and then it is given to cross-section sample of typical users to try out (referred to as the beta phase). Typically, a product won't be perfect in the beta phase as some bugs may still exist, but it's a solid preview of what the final application will be. The goals of the beta phase for SupplyFrame GoPart are to give the tool a "real-world" test and to gather as much feedback from the intended audience as possible.
